Lymphatic Massage

Lymphatic

We use a bespoke combination of traditional MLD, a technique targeting a lower level of the lymphatic system and Brazilian Sculpting Massage.

Lymphatic drainage has been used successfully to improve the recovery of sports/acute injuries, muscular skeletal conditions and soft tissue injuries/aches. It is particularly useful post-surgery to reduce unwanted swelling and pain, aiding recovery. It breaks down cellulite and fat cells and boosts the immune system.

Lymphatic massage uses a different technique from Swedish, Remedial or Sports massage. It is also beneficial for general health and wellbeing and for people who find they retain more fluid, such as lymphedema.

Brazilian Lymphatic Massage

This technique can be applied singularly, as a course of treatments, or combined with pre and post cosmetic surgery to help clients obtain desired results.

Reduction of Fluid Retention

Lymphatic massage can help reduce the fluid built in the system that can cause puffiness, swollen arms or legs, and conditions such as lymphedema.

Detoxification

Lymphatic massage helps detoxify our system by filtering out and removing natural metabolic waste products. By removing the build-up of waste within our systems the body can repair and heal more efficiently. We can feel lighter, be less puffy, have less brain fog, feel less bloated, less tired and relieve the symptoms of constipation and IBS.

Boosts Immune System

One of the main roles of the lymphatic system is to boost and maintain the body’s immunity by constantly filtering out harmful substances, reducing inflammation and aiding in the production of antibodies that fight infections.

Relaxation

Lymphatic massage can induce a deep sense of relaxation and stress relief. It can calm and relax the central nervous system, giving a boost of energy to both the mind and body.

Post Surgery Care

Lymphatic drainage can help with healing after surgery by reducing the swelling, detoxifying the body and assisting in the regeneration of cellular tissues to help reduce scar tissue. The application of Kinesio tape can also be beneficial, helping to reduce post operative swelling.

Contraindications

Lymphatic massage is a contraindication for certain conditions, we would therefore need your doctor’s written permission to treat you if you are suffering from any of the below:

Heart Failure
Active cancer
Infections
Blood clots
Kidney problems
